Alkaline Goes To Court “I Am Innocent”

Release Mr.Bartley or charge him – judge’s order

Dancehall Artiste, Alkaline, whose real name is Earlan Bartley, has been detained by police from last week due to questioning on the murder of Rohan Morris. Alkaline’s lawyer, Peter Champagnie goes to court today following the release of his client as he files a habeas corpus.

Habeas corpus is a writ requiring a person under arrest to be brought before a judge or into court, especially to secure the person’s release, unless lawful grounds are shown for their detention.

The 23 year old deejay has been detained at the Hunts Bay lock-up. He has been in police custody since.

Alkaline, if not charged today by 6:00 Pm must be released by police.
